Papyrus is obviously gone!!

Tried to register or retrieve a lost password on their forums lately? Give
it up, they don't send you crap! I've been a paying customer for years now
(Nascar Racing 1 on) and have tried and tried and tried till I'm blue in the
face and still no emails from them. If you lose your password, they are
supposed to email it to you, well, I've been waiting for over a week now.
Got a new email addy to setup a new account since my others got the response
"someone else using that email or screen name", and the setup went fine
until the dreaded "we sent you an email, click on the link to finish setting
up your account", well that was about a week ago too.

No offense to everyone here, but I rather like going to an N4 only arena
rather than wading through games here I don't care too much about. The
moderators there (Viper, Dogfish, Lighting) don't even have emails where you
can reach them. Sent Papy 4 (four) emails to tech support addys, got 1
automated response saying that the email had been received, wait a day or 2
(four days ago, no response), the other 3 addys came back undeliverable!!
These were off their numerous support pages BTW.

So, it looks like Papy has pulled up stakes and left town. At least N4 is no
more buggy than the last version of N3, it looks like its all we're going to
get from them.

I've even found my old registration from a screen name that is less than 1
year old (changed name once until latest attempt to re-register) and it says
that the password is not valid, and its the one that PAPY sent me.

Mark my words, back page USA Today, a few months from now: "Papyrus shuts
down after newest release leaving thousands of customers in the dark"

best of luck

edb

PS: Start noting the IP of your servers, the matching arenas are invariable
the next to go!

this was almost a word for word repost from last week correct?
Eric Busch has been in and out of here every few days so I don't think
they have "disappeared."   Almost all websites use an automatic system to
to send lost passwords.  Either the Papyrus site is broken or your email is
not
configured to receive mail from them, by this I mean, many email providers
try to limit
spam and THEIR automatic spam killer may be seeing the .com and killing the
email before you see it.(AND THAT IS JUST A HUNCH!)  So don't email
support at papy or support at sierra...the problem is with the
webmaster...see if
he has a link at the bottom of a page somewhere.
Sorry you are having so much trouble...I re-logged in after a prolonged
absence
about a month ago and had no problem.
  Hopefully you'll get through...good luck

You're obviously not good at taking a hint.

Jan.

I respectfully disagree. My email is configured properly. I get email from
everywhere (California to Denmark) everyday. To all my accounts no less, a
dialup, a cable service and hotmail. So that's not the problem. I don't use
spam killer either, you have to activate it which I haven't for the reason
you stated, it may filter out wanted material.

I'd love to relog, but Papy doesn't seem too interested in helping me out.
An automated email return is sitting out there telling people that Papy is
working on their problem when they aren't.

And no its the not same post smarty, just looking for help in the first one,
and telling the truth with the second one. If you'll notice this subject was
a declarative and the first was a question.

telling people that Papy is

  first rule...never trust my memory...second rule...uhmm I forgot it...

Papy has some obvious AI problems with N4.  What else?  Pace car is goofy?
The ranking system needs to be explained.  What other problems do we need to
list?
this might get seen sooner or later...
