MS Force Feedback Wheel

The one in the store wasn't setup right. You can adjust how much tension the
wheel gives you with and with out force feedback. The wheel will center
itself. They probably had the one setup in the store with the tension set
all the way up and that is why it felt like he was moving a drill.

Think of it this way.  If you push the FF enable button (the horn) on a game
that does not support FF (Nascar 2), the wheel is equivalent to using a
Thrustmaster with a self-centering wheel.   There is also some resistance to
turning the wheel which is attributed to the self-centering.  Most people
will enable this button for non-FF games as it feels natural.  If you
disable this button, the wheel is very, very easy to turn and does not
self-center.  Personally, I don't like this mode.

Ditto for me.

Speaking of N2 and the MS wheel, I just picked up the latter (l really like
it so far), but how do you get it to work with N2? I have not had a problem
with DirectX games, but the wheel is also supposed to work with DOS games
that run under W95. N2 isn't recognizing it.

Any help?

Glad to hear it. I'll have to try one at a store though before buying
it. Can you program in effects for sims (like GPL) that don't support
FF? Meaning that you could add a very slight bump in the wheel when
you change gears? Though I suppose that isn't really realistic.

What we really need is FF Pedals; Seat; AND Wheel. Then you'd have
something. And I'd NEVER leave my home.

Edmonton, AB,

BTW: www.actlab.com/ has a pretty nice looking wheel for $69 US; and a
FF version for $139? Check it out.

I tried to email the patch to you, but I don't have your email address.

Paul, I sent you an email with my address. Thanks!

BTW, is this file publicly available somewhere (a web site or ftp site)? I
figure more and more people will be looking for it as more and more MS
wheels are sold.
