Q: Changing cars in Nascar

by Mr. » Fri, 23 May 1997 04:00:00

I have a question that I hope has an easy answer.  I have downloaded several cars and would like to
know a simple way to import them into Nascar.  Right now the way I do it is cumbersome to say the
least.  I open paintkit then select a car and export it.  I then rename one of my downloaded cars to
the same name as the one I just exported. Then I copy it to the nascar directory (overwriting the
exported file name), start paintkit, select the same car as before and import. It does import the
paint scheme and all but why can't I make a new .dat file from all the downloaded cars and use that
in nascar?  Is there a utility to import all my new cars at once or am I stuck just doing it the
slow way as described, one at a time?  Also, by doing the export/import thing I am stuck with using
the car names that came with the game.  There must be a way to use new names since the version I
have came with my new Matrox video card and they loaded their own cars into the .dat file so the
names are not the same as the original Papy. version. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanx
in advance.
