I own a legal copy of the game but is annoying putting the cd in all the
time.  Anyone have a nocd patch for the latest patch?

Better solution, and you can even race on-line with it...  (you can't with
No-CD Patches).

Download DDump 1.0.
Download DaemonTools 2.88.

Create an ISO image of the CD using DDump.
Install DaemonTools, and use it to mount the CD ISO Image you created into a
drive letter.  Make sure you turn on SecuRom emulation.

Put original CD safely away in it's box.  You won't need it again.

Install and play, online too, N4 to your hearts content.

I have over 40 Game CD ISO's on my file server (yes, DaemonTools works great
over a network), and all of the originals are safely tucked away in their
boxes, stored out of the way forever.

I have yet to find a game that would not work like this.  Even the annoying
Midtown Madness CD's worked fine.

A few days ago I was playing Dark Age of Camelot (an RPG game) which
requires the CD, when I noticed that the CD was actually still in the jewel
case. Turns out I had left the F1 2001 CD in the drive, and Dark Age
accepted it. Has anybody else ever run into this cross-CD "feature"?

Yes I have, but I can't remember the program involved.  It seemed to work no
matter *what* CD was in the drive.  Well, it worked on the 3 or 4 I tried.
Might have been Nascar 3...
