OK - this is a bit dodgy really but hey.

My g/f and I went to jongleurs last night ( a uk comedy club chain) - and
while waiting - nipped into the next door burger king (as you do)

Bacon thing with coke for me, Chicken Royale for the lady.

We take a seat up the front - and there's a homeless guy sat up against the
wall outside just to one side of the window - we can see him perfectly.

We were there for 20 minutes, at about 7.30pm - so town was much quieter
than it is during the day.

In that 20 minutes - he was given over 4

That's 12 an hour

Couple of hours in the morning - couple in the evening - you're on 48 a
day, with much of the day to do what you want.

Taking a relaxing 5 day week - Thats 240 a week, or around 1000 a month.

So - if you're worried about paying for your next graphics card ( or even
for RL) - then go take a seat outside Burger King - it's very profitable!

OK - I know that it's all out of perspective - and I do feel sorry for the
homeless guys - many don't choose to be there, but this guy was one of the
loud, *** ones who shouts at people, at a quiet time of day!! And stil he
raked it in!

If 10 homeless guys worked full time around leicester, 8 hr days, 5 days a
week, between them they get over a quarter of a million pounds a year, from
the 300,000 leicester inhabitants!!!!

What a strange and bizarre world we live in.  Just thought I'd share it with
you!

I saw a programme about some guy who drove into London in his brand new Mercedes to beg, he made about 50,000 a year just sat on
his arse doing nothing.

People make heaps from begging....if they dont look like crackheads, don't
give em anything, there prolly pros :) and if you do give the crackheads
money atleast you know where your moneys going.....

One of the Sherlock Holmes stories is precisely about this subject.  The Man
With the Twisted Lip, I believe.

I only give to beggars with an obvious trade i.e. Leprosy, any money. No
crippling ailment, no dosh!

Having said that, one night while getting cash out of the whole in the
wall, a little old Irish chap asked me if i had any change. I felt in my
pocket and found a crumpled fiver I didn't know I had. I'd had a few
myself by this time so I gave him the fiver. He was overjoyed, and
showed his gratitude by flapping me on the back and saying, "Jim's
Little Darling, 2:30, Newbury." before wobbling off the the nearest
offie. Well, I put a fiver on the nose and the *** only came in at
8to1, which was nice.

Yes, that's the one. You beat me to mentioning it...

Maybe you should recommend this profitable new avenue to your mates, the West brothers.
I'm sure they could do with some extra income to speed up the old RL project.
