Nascar rules?

Does anyone know a site with info about the Nascar rules?
There are a lot of things that I don't understand.
For example, the 3-lap yellow flag thing is very confusing for me.
When does this happen and in what order do the cars have to line up
during these yellow flag laps?
Is this all explained in the Nascar 3 manual? I still have to wait a
month before I'm able to buy it :(

Nascar rules?

Nobody has found the NASCAR rulebook - they sometimes make things up on the
fly it seems :-)

It's much like case law, for any particular situation there is usually
established precedent that they *usually* follow, but not always.  Ask
around here and those who follow NASCAR can probably tell you what they
generally do.  Seriously, they don't seem to have written rules available to
the public anywhere.

The yellow flags aren't a specific number of laps, they come out whenever
there is an incident on the track or if there is any debris.  The caution
lasts long enough to clean the track, but usually will last long enough to
allow the full field to make pit stops.

When the caution is thrown, the leader completes the lap he's on, then is
picked up by the pace car after crossing the finish line.  The cars line up
as they are running on the track.  The pits are closed this first lap.  The
cars on the lead lap are allowed to pit the next time by, the lapped cars
are allowed in on the next lap.  The cars will then be lined up as they came
out of the pits.  The field will get a signal that there is one lap until
green, and then the cars not on the lead lap line up on the inside line, and
the lead lap cars on the outside - then they take the green flag.  If the
green is coming out with 10 or less laps to go, they line up single file -
lead lap cars followed by the lapped cars.

That's NASCAR during cautions and the ensuing restarts in a nutshell - if
you're confused about any details lemme know and I'll try to answer anything
else :-)
