IVL 1999 - Cup, GN, Trucks, and Sprint Divisions

The world's best offline stock car racing series is winding down through
the last half of it's 3rd season.  Rich Stranzl is barely*** on to
his points lead ahead of David Martin and his own teammate Scott
Munkirs.  Can he hold on or will IVL finally have a second champion?
Tune in to see.

In preparation for 1999, the director is requesting that anyone who is
interested in participating in IVL next season to give him a buzz at

The league offers 2 divisions.  Cup and Grand National

These divisions offer a totally separate feel to the cars.  The Grand
National Division uses restrictor plates at all tracks, so it is easier
to handle the cars in the corners.  As a matter of fact, you can go
around Atlanta and C***te without lifting after about 10 laps to get
the tires heated.  Now, if you want to win, you'll have to modify the
setup to be a little more tricky.

Both divisions are set for the long haul.  Schedules span an entire year
with the normal 3 months off in the winter.

The planning committee has decided to add a Sprint Car Division
and a Trucks Division.

The Sprint Car Division would offer short track racing where no pitting
would be required.  There will be 2 races per season on 1 mile ovals.
These tracks will change each season.  There will be 3 seasons per year
with 10 races per season.

The Trucks Division would run only on current N2 tracks.  No converted
tracks will be used.  If the Trucks patch is released this fall the
schedule will include those tracks.

         We use RaceSet2 in IVL.

EASY:  How does one download at the beginning of the season and your set
sound?  That's all there is to it.  All you have to do is drive and
email your results.

FRIENDLY:  How does driving at your own pace sound?  We don't require
any specific race time, only deadlines.  You can run every race of the
season in one month if you want to. :-) Or if realism is your choice,
drive on the race date.  It's your choice.

CHEATING: What cheating?  No cheating is allowed by the software.  We
don't just eyeball the results.  You are not allowed to modify any files
so you can't cheat.  No illegal setups, no modified tire signature.  If
you want to know how good you can be, IVL is the place to race.

RELIABLE:  An auto-reply daemon is used to let you know that the
director has received your results.  We haven't lost any since we began
using it.  You also know exactly what time your results were received.
It's there on the reply message.  Need to know what time the director
thinks it is?  A special email address is setup to echo the correct time
to you.

FAST: Results are posted within 1 hour of the deadline.  Most times
within 10 minutes.  The only exception is when the director is on
vacation.

If these are aspects of offline racing that appeal to you and you're
ready to take the plunge into an entire year of racing 100% lengths or
50% lengths, then come over to IVL.
