Before I download the demo, is there anything good to say?

Which track is featured in the demo? And which cars?

Thanks,

- Michael

The only good thing I can say about it I'm glad they put out a demo so I
didn't waste my money.  What a disgrace.

Uhhh.... maybe the demo is a beta, just like Rally Championship, and
the full game will have GPL-like physics?

I don't understand that.
What is the use of a demo than?

The acronum "S.O.S" should provide for some amusing interpretations.
That's the only good thing I can think of.

At this point, the MOST that can be hoped for is "half decent arcade
physics that doesn't make Sega Rally look like GPL by comparison".

I wish I knew how to extract that pic but it was an 'ssb' file or something
like that.  I'd like to wallpaper it on my desktop.

The rest of the download was a waste of time.

You get a four lap race at Donington in a Mercedes 154 I think.  But it's not
worth it.  The game is utterly pathetic.  It's not fun at all to me.  I'd
rather play the ancient Indianapolis 500 simulation than this...

only one good word... tracks...... donnington must have been awesome at that
level of non-safety and speed... and i enjoyed it.... and the force feedback
in the demo sucks, but i'm an early GPL'er ,whose hoping that it can be that
way....in time.....
two words.....

It is one in a long list of titles that seems to have a lot of potential,
but gets released far, far ahead of its time.

A demo of a supposedly "sim" title that won't support split-axis pedals, has
non-linear steering so wildly non-linear that the car is almost
uncontrollable and no way to get out of auto-shifting mode (that I could
find).  Add in virtually non-existent FFB and you have a distasteful
experience to say the least.

For me, the graphics are fine, the sound is likely OK, the track selection
is very good (although we only get to drive on Donnington in the demo), but
very, very basic aspects of the title are wanting.

Let's hope this is an early beta locked into arcade mode....that's the best
I can say.  And as the opening to this message suggests, the biggest
disappointment is the failed potential.  I don't think a title since CART:PR
from MS has disappointed me more because I so wanted it to be good.  Rally
Championship may well be the next one unless it too is dramatically
different than the demo.

Marc.
