Anybody know how NR2002 picks your opponents?  I am racing with a 20 car field
as I am learning the game and seem to see the same cars a lot.  I know how to
make up a personalized list if I wanted, just wondering how the game does it.

It's random in N '02. In N4 it went in order down the roster until it
reached the 43rd car.

Somewhere in a readme or manual I read that NR2002 picks drivers based on
a quick calculation of their ratings, with a little random factor.

Try increasing the ratings of a car you never see (I tried it with the
Blizzard b_mcgowan car in the Euro version) and it should start appearing
more regularly at the tracks.

Of course, I guess you wouldn't want to mess with the ratings of the
licensed drivers, so a 20 car field is liable to give the same set of top
drivers... in my game (42 opponents) I usually only notice different cars
right at the back of the grid.
