I am thinking of buying a Logitech FF Wheel, but have heard many problems
with the pedals. Does any one know if Logitech are changing them or if the
rumoured heavier springs are now standard? How will I know if I'm getting a
later wheel, if one has been released?

The new boxes state they have improved springs in the pedals.  I haven't
seen anywhere that still has the old version, but to be sure - look for the
one that includes Sports Car GT in the box, and not F1 Racing Sim.  The
newer model is in the newer box with SCGT as the pack-in game.

How improved they are, I dunno.

I bought the new setup today.  IMHO it's fine.  Pedals have pretty strong
springs and feel good.   Gas pedal is ok, but the brake, man it's SMALL!!

Anyhow, I love it and recommend it to the world.  It came with SportsCar GT
and wow, what a great game!  How did this one slip by me I'll never know.

:)

Wingman FF is a great system.  I paid $127.27 at CompUSA (military
discount).

I just picked up the Logitech unit and while the wheel feels/works
fine, I find that the pedals get tiring as compared to the CH rudder
pedals I was using before.   W/ the CH pedals, I could rest my feet on
them while not depressing them.

Agree about SCGT...I picked it up when it was onsale for $20 and
thought "man, how did I miss this one".  Hehe, now I've got 2 copies.
