I have a TNT and had the same problem when using the 2.08 Nvidia
drivers.  Upgrading to the 3.77 drivers fixes the problem,
however....the frame rate in all 3D games (for me) is noticeably
slower when using the newer Nvidia drivers.  I have 32  games which
run flawlessly with the 2.08 drivers, yet in order to get F1 2000 to
run properly, I have to install newer drivers and, in a sense, ruin
most of my other games.  Is anyone else with a TNT (or TNT2) able to
run F1 2000 properly with the 2.08 drivers?

I use a TNT2U and I dont have that prob.... I`m using Nvidia 3.53 drivers
(3.53 work great for all my games, tho I dont have 32 games ;) I have a
small prob with the way the dust looks when you go through a sand trap (you
can even notice it from tire smoke when you lock your front brakes for a
long time). The prob is that when you look near the steering wheel when all
the dust or smoke is in the air you notice an outline... it`s VERY hard to
describe..but it looks like shit..... let me know if you notice it..... and
good luck with your invisible tire prob.

I`m starting to like this sim......
All the best,
Lorne
