Guy (SCR-Bulit) posted this a few days ago. It's converted from N3, and so
needs some editing in the .txt file (tires, etc) but it's pretty nice. Ron
did a good job converting. It's the nearest we unfortunates have of racing
it, anyway...

Please explain this required "editing."  I'm getting NL thru Cheerios
(thanks to Rick Altis for telling me) for about $11 shipped (counting the
cereal the kids'll eat anyway) and I'm gonna HAVE to use this track!!!
hehehe.
I know I sure like Daytona with N3.

well, you see, it's based on the N3 track, and thus N3 settings
(fuel/tires...). Now, I haven't finished experimenting yet, but I copied
over the TIRES settings from Alabama.txt to daytona.txt, and at least that
makes that more realistic. There's more to be done, though, but do that and
you'll get about 20 laps per tire run, which would seem to be about right.

Yea, just copy almost all the alabama.txt settings over to daytona.txt, and
you'll have a more realistic NL Daytona settings.

Can one use the .lp files and daytona.txt from the official Daytona demo CD
with this track?  Would those give the most realistic settings?  If so, get
sending them to the "author" of this track.

hey, that might work! Anyone got those files? Can you post them? Is that an
infringement of copyright?
