Was there a change in the way Formula One is broadcast here in the US? The
last race in San Marino wasn't broadcast on the day of the race. It was
broadcast the week after (last Friday) after we knew who won. This upcoming
race in Spain isn't going to be broadcast this Sunday either. The only thing
they're going to show is qualifying. Anyone know what's going on? Why has
The Speed Channel begun delaying the broadcast until a week later? It's
stupid. It's like watching the Super Bowl the week after it happened. It
just can't and shouldn't be done.

San Marino was originally broadcast CBS then re-aired by Speed TV.  Spain,
Nurburgring, and Canada will all air on CBS too.  Maybe it's just me (and my
brother), but Derek Daly was really annoying.

CBS has been poaching some of the races.  It will be the same for
champcar, except I doubt we'll see a 2nd broadcast of CC.  They are only
delaying the cast cuz they don't have first rights to it.
Use tvguide.com and search for auto racing to verify the channel on any
paticular weekend.  And also check the daily schedules on speedchanel's
website.

Four Formula One races are on CBS this year, shown on the day of the
race but tape delayed (San Marino started at 10 a.m. here on the West
Coast). The announcers at San Marino mentioned which the other three
were going to be, but I can't recall offhand. Speed Channel then shows
the race on the following Friday. I prefer the Speed Channel
announcers, but the CBS crew was quite OK, too, I thought. The rest of
the F1 races will be live on Speed, as before.

How many times can you hear "Hang on to your Hollyhocks boys" before you get
