JGTC crash...

I'm having that problem too.  What car are you using?  I had a similar
problem with the first version of the FIA mod.  I can't remember for
sure, but it was either a problem with a wave file or a problem with a
particular vehicle.  I think there must be a similar problem with JGTC.
If I use the Supra I can sometimes run a few laps before it crashes.
Haven't tried the other cars yet, but if you find that one particular
car causes it to crash immediately, that is probably the car that is
causing the problem.  Maybe there is a way to just remove that car from
the game.

The same has happened to me... Here's the full description:

-During install, JGTC mod v. 1.1a uses at the end a batch file (install-x.bat)
to copy track information and other stuff. Unfortunately, at some points it
uses an "echo Y" command to pre-answer "Y/N" questions when deleting some temp
files/dirs, and since my Windows version is not in English, it won't accept "Y"
as a valid option. I had to edit the install-x.bat file, change all occurrences
accordingly, save the modified file in the installation directory, give it "Read
only" attributes and select "ignore" when the installer attempted to overwrite
it (and failed). (BTW, for some reason the installer extracts that file *twice*)

-OK, so now the game is installed, but after I create a new player and select
the options indicated in the "ReadMe" file (damage multiplier 20%, number of
AI drivers 18, starting grid position random) and try a quick race, grand prix
or some other race, I only have a single car available (Loctite Zexel GT-R) and
no images are shown (car only sometimes, number/logo never). After that, when I
attempt to start the race, it kicks me back to Windows. This doesn't happen if I
select the "Test Guy" driver present after installation...

-installing the 1.1.1 patch doesn't help, neither does uninstalling the 3D rims.
(haven't tried the "Sanders's physics" install, however, I'll try that one next)

Any help would be appreciated.

I just did and the results are still the same... "Test Guy" works fine, but any
driver I create doesn't...
Oh, and I had to resort to the same trick with the file "install-s.bat"...

(Again)

>(Again)

Never mind, after deinstalling it and wiping every trace of it from my HD, then
reinstalling again, this time it worked without problems. I already installed
patch 1.1.1 and it's still working, so it wasn't a patch issue either. Hey, I've
noticed no difference in framerate whether using 3D rims or not, framerate
depends more on other factors...
