JGTC won't work

by Verne » Wed, 04 Dec 2002 08:09:16

Hey all......I THINK I finally have GTr2002 working.....will find out later.
Was installing JGTC in the mean time. Well, I followed the instructions and
it doesn't work. It just loads my F1 2002 game. I tried running the BAT
files but all I got were "path not found" and "access denied" messages after
each attempt. I went and edited the paths to reflect my F12002
folder.....still nothing.      I copied the tracks.....didn't overwrite
anything like it said....any ideas??? I just seem to have nothing but
CRAPluck with mods these days.

If a mod loads the F1 cars it is usually an indications the two config
ini files are not matched up.  find in the f1 2002 folder a file called
config.ini.
JGTC should also have a similar file(not sure of the name...but probably
something like configJGTC.ini.  compare the two files using notepad.
Everyline BELOW Gridsize=22 should match.  make sure all those lines below
gridsize in your jgtc ini file match precisely your config.ini file.

I mirrored the F1 config then changed the 3 lines it said to. I also made
sure that it was indentical as far as the rest goes. It just doesn't seem to
want to work.   I'll try some more and see what happens.....I'll likley be
back here looking for ideas again.......just my luck.

Remember JGTC was an F1 2k1 mod.  I never messed with it, but perhaps
whomever converted it to 2k2 didn't get it done properly.  There used to be
a thread on high gear forums about converting jgtc.  Perhaps you can search
through there and find the full procedure.  yer gonna be a mod expert yet
