S>: No matter what configureation I use in setup.exe for my music,  I

S>: I have a Sounds Easy pro 16 sound card. Configured to I/O 220 IRQ5
S>: DMA1. For the sound I simply choose the SoundBlaster 8, mono or
S>: stereo, (it works on both).

S>: Where or how do I get the proper settings...  I want to HEAR the

S>: Debbie Doerrlamm

S>Debbie, I was also about to ask the same quesiton.  Although I get the
S>sound of the cars and the announcer in the first 10 seconds of the
S>game,  that's all I get.  I tried using the Soundblaster Pro 16 bit
S>Stereo but I  get NOTHING.  The only way I get anything is by using
S>the Soundblaster 8  Stereo.

S>Anybody got any suggestions?

Probably what is happening is that your cards are not 100% Sound Blaster
compatible.  A lot of people have gotten around this by starting NASCAR
with the -f option for FM sound..  Not as good, but it seems to work.

Dick,

I do get sound with the Soundblaster 8 bit stereo set.  Does the -f
switch give better sound then available using the 8 bit stereo driver?
