days ago, sorry can't remember who. Nobody else seems to have mentioned
this and even recall he didn't know exactly what it did.
I have a TNT2U and I'm not sure if it will work with Voodoo cards
or not. I mentioned it to two others that have TNT cards as well and they
had similiar results to mine. In fact one of the people with a TNT and P2
450
reported such a dramatic increase in performance and looks that he has
started
playing it after initially shelving it. The other person has a 600 Athlon
and TNT2U, I have a P3 oc'd 700mhz.
You must go to your win.ini file in your windows directory and add DVA=1
under the DrawDib header eg.
[DrawDib]
DVA=1
Not sure why but it seemed to speed up the graphics and the picture
quality!
Here is another tip that I found very useful for swap file management.

Do you wonder why Win98 keeps on swapping all the time, ignoring the fact
that you've got lots of memory plugged into your power machine? Then this
one might be for you.
Just tried this tweak I picked up from Lockergnome . Worked great for me
(I've got 128MB).
Add the following line to your system.ini under the [386Enh] section:
ConservativeSwapfileUsage=1
Your system should be more responsive and you should have less hard disk
activity.
