I'm trying to run GPL on a notebook with an ATI 3d Rage LT PRO - graphics.
I'm wondering how to use the 3D-feature for GPL?

Thx, Fritz

Forget it. I've got a Compaq with ATI Rage LT Pro and luckily a Voodoo2. Just
for fun i tried the OpenGL rasterizer to see how the V2 would perfrom then,
but the ATI took care of the OpenGL.

At 640x480 with most details on i got 1, one, frame per second. And ATI call
this a 3D card, what a joke....

With Half-Life i got some better results with the ATI, but software was
actually better, so with GPL.

So conclusion is: Sorry, but the ATI can't handle it.

Hi Fritz,

I think you need the open Gl patch to play on the ATI 3d Rage
Lt Pro graphics card. I have this card but haven't tried it out with the
patch yet

Forget it.  The openGL for ATI's rage is marginal at best even for games
like Half-Life.  Software rendering was better.  Your notebook will do D3d
nicely, so you will have to be happy with titles like Sportscar GT, Need
for Speed etc.  I'm also a notebook user and have serious GPL envy.
