Then again, most people on usenet don't actually read anything that
anyone else is saying before replying, so I suppose the mass
top-posting shouldn't be a big surprise.
Something that would be fun: in-context top-posting. Reply to a post
segment by segment, point by point, but reply to what you're quoting
above each segment instead of below it. If you're going to be
annoying, might as well go for the jugular, eh?
