KISS-New ICR2 UTILITY!!!

by Walt Otten » Tue, 18 Jun 1996 04:00:00

Koen Van Brero has written a new utility for ICR2 that adds a new
display on the dash that displays split times in real time as you
drive the track! It is useful for analyzing setups, driving styles, the
effects of the line you take on a paticular corner, etc...

What is K.I.S.S. ?

K.I.S.S is an utility for the game Indycar Racing II from Papyrus. The
utility will show split times on the dashboard while you are driving.
This is very useful when you want to improve your laptimes. K.I.S.S.
has the following features:
Up to 80 possible split time sections on certain tracks.
User configurable split points for all tracks.
Displays split time or the difference between this split time and the
split time of a reference lap. ( For example the fastest time ever!)

Personal records are automaticly stored ( with all split times ) for
future use as a reference lap.
Reference lap can be the fastest lap of the current session or the
fastest lap ever. ( Your's or that of a friend ).
Automatic detection of the current track, restarts ( By pressing
Shift-R ) and errorneous laps.
Allows changes being made to the setup without losing the best splits
of this session. Ideal for fine tuning your setups.
Enables you to see at what sections of a lap time is lost or won.

The version currently available is an open beta version
and as such works ONLY IN VGA MODE, but as it is so useful, this
really is not that much of a drawback. Koen is asking for help
producing a SVGA version of this utility, so if anyone knows SVGA,
please help him out-he's a great guy!

To download K.I.S.S. go to either:
http://www.racesimcentral.net/~brero/kiss.html (Netherlands)
or my website at:

Try it, you won't be disappointed!
