Fresh GP4 install, now what?

by double » Wed, 12 Feb 2003 13:23:04

Given that there won't be a F1 2003, and that the modding/patching community
seems to be making tons more files for GP4, and considering the v9.6 patch
fixed the menu flicker issue, I decided to give it another try.  So far I am
very pleased, but I'm curious what addon/mod stuff I should install now?
(as of now I've only installed the 136mb update2002.exe.)  Anything else?

I'm not sure what gives you the impression that there's heaps more mods for
GP4.  I've only seen car skins and HUD changes so far.  I think the menu
flicker was the least of GP4's woes.  The core mechanics of the game haven't
been modded nearly as well as F1 2002's have.  Also, the sooner that
pathetic 3D engine rests in peace the better.

Uninstall it.

It's bollocks.

Install GPxPatch (http://www.xs4all.nl/~rsdi/) and join a GP4 offline
league. Or best, wait a bit for LFRS to start it's new competition

Not that I'm aware of.  ISI is probably fully committed to updating
their engine so Tiburion can make Nascar Thunder 2003 TRS(The Real Season)
<or 2003.5>

ok, i apologize and stand corrected.  I was just going by what I read
searching r.a.s. for 'f1 2003' in google groups.

I'll jump back on the F1 200x Bandwagon now!
