Hi all,

Did my first on line race last night. I'm not great but I can turn in
consistent times and manage not to weave all over the track.

These guys, however, were really abusive. Wasn't directed at me but some of
the other players. I managed to stay out of the way and finish the race, but
the "better" player were letting fly with some fairly degrading stuff for
the newer players.  Doesn't exactly get me e***d about going back there
again.

Are there some servers that focus on newer players and tend to be friendly
and helpful?  Any help would be great.

  Finding a league would be your best bet.  However, don't put much stock in
complainers and cussers.  They do put a damper on things, but they aren't
worth the time it takes to type about them.
  That is a thought tho...we need a way to disable the chat or at least
ignore certain users during a race.

ps...chatting during a race is RUDE.  Keep comments directed to racing...i.e
pitting announcements, passing courtesies(pass low..) and the like.
Blabbermouths ruin the concentration for others.

Actually you can disable all chat by unchecking the box under user
interface in your options menu.
