On Saturday, yes. Weeknight practise is not usually his bag. You came up
with this Thursday practise thing, remember?

Even so, I think he said he'd put up the server to test connections (didn't
check), but I'm sure that's a one off anyway.

Connection quality varies from minute to minute.   You also never know
when your ISP (or Eldred's) will configure a new route to the backbone,
and that could hose some folks up that had always had decent connections
before.

The best thing to do is to set a minimum latency and stick to it.  There
really is no need for a practice race that verifies coinnectability.  
However, a practice race for the sake of practicing for the upcoming
race would be beneficial.

The larger threat to our racing existance is that one or more wreckers
gets wind of our races and "joins" Rascar with the intention of doing
anything but racing.  We'll have more control over that particular issue
when Eldred implements the invite list.
