Fairly OT: UK Banger racing contacts?

by Lagwago » Sun, 14 Jul 2002 18:54:33

Hi all,

My car unfortunantely failed it's MOT as rust has crept toward the important
areas.. far from cost effecitve to repair. Sad thing is from behind the
wheel nothing apparently has changed. But now i can't legally drive it.

It's a 1985 Seat Ibiza, the first one they did, and has the distinction of
having a porsche enginered engine, and a gearbox that apparently "never
gives up". Most s***merchants want ME to pay for them to take it away, and
it just seems such a waste, i've put an Ad on Loot but another day to wait
before everyone can see it.

So my question is: does anyone here who reads this (from UK) have any
contacts or ideas regarding any organisations or hobbyists, that would be
interested in a spritely if not road going little hatchback, for the purpose
of banging racing, stock racing, or perhaps lifting out the engine and
putting it in some custom project??? I'd be more than happy to see it go on
to someone (for free) who may be able to get something good out of it, then
to s***it, even if it's going out in a blaze of glory in a bangers race,
after the ~34,000 miles of cheap motoring it's given me...

Cheers for reading /any help...

Jon

expecting to see my league at hte top of the list, annd lo and behold
there's a Fast Food Racing banger team! Dunno if they'll want yours, but
they can steer you in the right direction, maybe.
