PC SEGA RALLY - Available in UK

Cheapest I've seen this game - Dixons or PC World at 29.99 UKP.

Specs are:

Minimum P75 with 16 Meg memory
Recommended P100 or above with 16 Meg memory

CD Rom - 4 Speed

Hard drive space: 5 Meg Minimum or 40 Meg Maximum

Audio: 16 Bit - Soundblaster 16 compatible

Controls: Keyboard, Joystick or Joypad.

Modem/LAN play available - using spilt screen.

Whats it play like?.
Well, I'm ruinning a P100 with 16 meg and a 6 speed CD Rom and it
works fine in 320 x 420 16 and 8 bit modes. To run in 640 x 480 you
will need a P100+ to get any kind of acceptable screen frame rate.
Still, it feels good in the lower resolution.
Certainly looks and feels like the original arcade version. Plenty of
back end step out etc. Background graphics etc also look good.
Couple of gripes - isn't there always :-)  -

1. You cannot turn the music off
2. It appears that you cannot damage your car.

All in all a good arcade conversion job done by Sega and not bad for
the price.

No it's just as bad - virtually unplayable with my T2. Anyone got any
ideas how to fix this ?

(Note)
To play SEGA RALLY CHAMPIONSHIP, your peripheral devices must all be
compatible with DIRECT X3.
The Help File screens are still under construction.
Please use a PC Game Pad or Joystick with two buttons.
We cannot guarantee that the game will function properly with other
peripheral devices.
This game is not compatible with the Sega Saturn Control Pad, the Virtua
Stick,
or the Arcade Racer racing controller.

Can anyone from thrustmaster or sega shed some light on this. Is the T2
direct X3 compatible ? It has four buttons.

I've just played a demo of this game for about an hour at a PC World
nearby, they had a GP1 hooked up to the pc, (which was a p133), frame
rate was ok, not as good or detailed as the arcade version.
The steering was real "twitchy", i even recalibrated, but it was
impossible to keep the car in a straight line.
