F1GP - Modem COM-ports

I have F1GP with the 1.05 version update, which allows modem play. The
problem is that it doesn't work with my modem, which is at COM3 with
IRQ 5. I can't change the modem port/irq so I wonder, if there exists
some patch, which would allow playing with non-standard irq-settings.
Could I get it for example on ftp somewhere? I really would like to get
to play modem game with my friends, I heard it's REALLY fun...
