GP2 suspension?

GP2 suspension?

I am not english so the wording for the suspension is confusing. Could
an expert tell me what the packers, dampers and all the rebound stuff
actually does to the car. I think a packer is a *** spacer that
reduced suspension travel but the diff in adjusting springs and dampers
seems redundant as I see them as the same. If someone could clear this
up for me as im an idiot to this stuff, I just turn and squirt!

I am interested why the worldwide release date was the 23rd but Germany
got it the 12th UK and rest of Euro the 19th and we in the USA are still
without the damn thing? + with each of their phone representatives
giving diff dates and one even claiming 2 versions of the game I would
LOVE to see the idiot(s) in charge of this well oiled machine ;)

Spring adjustment changes the force required to compress the spring a
certain amount (ie 500N per mm- not sure what the units are in GP2)

Damping adjusts the rate at which the impact is absorbed (compression
or 'bump' damping) and the rate at which the spring is allowed to
return to it's original length (rebound damping).  Think of a gas
strut on a hatchback car- that's a damper as it has no springing but
restricts how fast the hatch opens or closes.

I got GP2 2  days ago and can only play it at work during lunchtime
due to my 486-33 not really cutting it, so it'll be a while before I
get around to messing with advanced setup like this.

Cheers
Steve
