USB = Universal Serial Bus.  It is a "new" port/bus on newer motherboards
that allow up to 256 devices connected at high speeds. Currently there
are mice, keyboards, speakers, joysticks and scanners that use the USB
port, in the future there will probably be even more and they will get
better.
