Nascar 4 Game Sound Problems

I just got Nascar 4, and the game sound effects do not work. The
introduction sound works fine, but the sound during gameplay is
silent. I have an SB Live! soundcard. I've tried all the suggestions
on the Sierra website, but they did not work. This question has
probably been asked before, but any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
