I have the Official Program of the Brickyard 400. These are the exact words...
Fans will soon have the opportunity to experience a realistic
simulation of NASCAR Racing in the NASCAR Racing League., which is being
designed by Winston Cup director Gary Nelson for Papyrus- a leader in
computerized games.
"We have real drivers, teams, sponsers and tracks and we try to do
everything as realistically as possible," said Adam Levesque, producer of the
NASCAR Racing League. "We model tracks from video, blueprints and photos from
the tracks to make them as realistic as possible. The players can go into the
garage and tune the car, change the spoiler angle and tires and chassis setup
so they can go out and compete against their favorite drivers."
The NASCAR Racing League will be a service including a multi-player
*** service where players who own the product can dial in from all over the
country and race against each other.
"Now, instead of racing against the computer controlled players, you
can race against people from all over," Levesque said. "NASCAR is almost
looking at this as a 13th league. The only difference is it is a virtual racing
experience.
Neat article eh?
Two questions...
IF it is realistic as possible, why do our cars look like boxes?
One more thing Ed will kill me for asking... will the Stagger be reversed just
like in NASCAR I?
