I picked this up yesterday, and just installed it.

After about 30 min all I can say is...

Not bad :)

The car still seems to pivit on a point that's about 1 foot in front of the
driver, but it doesn't feel as pronounced as it was in F1-2002.

The controller code _seems_ to work better too.

I can live with it.

I didn't like it at first but I'm starting to really warm up to it.
Yesterday I went back and forth between F1 2002 and F1C a couple of times
while trying to figure out if the graphics were really darker in F1C (they
are) and one of the things that was really noticeable was how much smoother
the car runs in F1C.  The bumps in F1 2002 never really bothered me that
much before, but after running Nurburgring in F1C and then going back and
driving it in F1 2002 I am amazed at the difference.  Either they worked the
bumps out of the track or they changed the physics to make it less sensitive
to bumps, but either way I am definitely starting to like F1C better.
