Actually, I created that one too. Search for alt.config and ballim on dejanews (old database)...

supporting consensus, alt.binaries.simulators.autos is
created for the purpose of transmitting auto simulator
related binaries which have lately been appearing on
rec.autos.simulators.

Gosh, fame at last. If anyone actually cares, I came up with the idea for RAS when the WCF1GP
mailing list that I had been running became too much of a burden on the University of Geneva mail
server. Of course, it never would have happened without the support and advice of the couple of
hundred avid pre-RASers who made that mailing list what it was, and showed that a newsgroup was
really called for.

It's okay, I had a lie down and I've got my perspective back. Now I remember why I make it a rule
never to post to r.a.s. unless I really, really, have something to say.

P.S. I didn't "create" r.a.s. - a.b.s.a yes, r.a.s no - I was just the catalyst.
