As to the last couple of points, and partially addressing the original Q; go
to f1racingsim.com and get the "intro.zip" patch which gives you tiny avi's to
replace the intro and movie. It saves both time and HD space.
As to the original query: I went with the full install as I read that the menu
screens otherwise have very long load times. And if you really want the
complete answer, I suggest just trying it out. Try a smaller install, if it
doesn't satisfy you, go back to the full.
