Need some simple help with M'prose F1GP

I got a copy of the game from a friend but no manual so I would like
some help if poss.

1) How do I know when to pit for new tyres? The tyre icon in the***pit
some times goes yellow, sometimes blank and sometimes with a red
cross.What does all this mean?

2) How do I get to the car set up menu? I select different set up for
qualifying and race but only get asked to change the set up before the
race,never before practise

3) Are there any keystroke commands? The only one I know is G for the
times between the cars and I don't know if there are others I should be
aware of.

4) Can anyone explain to me what the various lights are for on the left
hand side of the***pit? As far as I can see they are there purely for
decoration but...

If anyone has a manual they could mail/fax me or even help me with these
questions I would be very grateful!!

Cheers
James

Look,I'm not greedy but I can't find it to buy anywhere.
I am actually waiting for GP2 but it seems to be a long wait,

If you are that worried about it I will send Microprose and Crammond
a cheque for royalties they have missed out on.

Thanks for your help,by the way

Cheers

I can't tell where you are from your posting address, but assuming BT
is British Telecom, then I suppose there's a fair chance you're in the
UK.  If so, you will find that most of the electrical retail chains
such as Dixons, Tempo and the like still stock the CD version at least.
It's in a white box, on some kind of budget label priced around 15 pounds.
Special Reserve mail order (www.reserve.co.uk) have the floppy version,
listed at 14.99 (it's actually #3 on their PC disk top ten chart!)
