I just saw on NASCAR Online that MCI and NASCAR are teaming up. So will
MCI be involved with the NASCAR racing league? Here are some interesting
quotes from the article that sent me in that direction:
"Together, the companies will form a technology and marketing alliance
that will bring fans closer to the sport of NASCAR racing."
"The alliance will integrate MCI into the NASCAR family at many levels,
making MCI the 'Official Telecommnunications(sic) Company of NASCAR. MCI
can participate in all of NASCAR's 12 divisions, on the internet, ...."
"MCI will bring fans unprecedented access to the world of NASCAR racing,
putting them in the driver seat"
"An officially-licensed Internet Service Provider of NASCAR"
"The MCI/NASCAR relationship will pay dividends to NASCAR fans now and in
the future through an array of technology-based opportunities."
So, is MCI going to be the access provider for the NRL? Maybe supply
reduced rate 800 numbers for those of us who won't have a local
provider? Or are they completely independent?
