GP4 reboots PC

by Scott Willse » Wed, 24 Jul 2002 07:08:07

I am having the following problem with GP4:  Whenever I try to race,
my machine crashes or reboots. I can make it through all the practices
and qualifying sessions, but not the race.

Anyone else have this issue?

P4 2.4Ghz
Intel D850EMV2 mobo
SoundMax SPX integrated audio
512 MB PC1066 RDRAM
PNY GeForce4 TI4400 agp card
Maxtor 60GB hard drive
BTC 16/48 DVD-Rom
Wingman Formula one wheel/pedals

Thanks.

What OS and power supply?

You might be loading the PSU too much, or have W2k or XP's 'Reboot instead
of BSOD' option set.

Windows XP, my power supply is 420 watts. I'm not overloading it.

All other applications seem fine, I can run this PC without problems
or ever needing to reboot  unless I try to run GP4.
