N3 Damage Complaint

I love N3 so far with the exception of the damage model.  The soft hits are too
hard and the hard hits are too soft!  At California I drove up under a car down
the back straight, no biggie, but it ripped his rear bumper off and damaged my
front bumper so much that I had t pit.  Later I got underneath the 33 heading
into 3 and we touched, backing me into the wall at nearly full speed.  Just
"Tore up the rear end" a little and I was able to drive back into the pits.
After looking at the replay, there was no way I would have drove off from that
hit.  The rear end would have been pushed so far over it would have been in
Mexico!  Any idea if this will be addressed in future patches or editions?

I've experienced no over-the-top damage modelling in Nascar 3 which I
personally can complain about.

How fast were you travelling during this collision? Remember that at speed,
even the slightest knock is enough to cause at least some damage - even if
it's just a panel beating. Tearing off a bumper isn't the most difficult of
accomplishments either. They're hardly the strongest and most reliable part
of a car.

It's possible that in this particular race you were just unlucky. The game
could have made a calculation mistake, or perhaps there is a bug (just not a
very big, or important one).

If you'd like to reduce the amount of damage your car can receive, remember
that you can switch the damage modelling to Arcade. That will allow you to
nudge and grudge as much as you like with the least damage possible.

Personally, I love being aware that one slip-up can ruin an entire race.

Best regards,

I agree, and when a wheel gets ripped of it just dissapears. It didn't do
that in N1 or N2.
