Rendition Patch for NFS2???

Read a rumor that Need for Speed 2 may have Rendition support as early as next
week.  Check out http://www.racesimcentral.net/;
Just wondering if anyone else has heard of this and anyone who has this game
can tell me if you think this game will be much better if it had Rendition
support.  Basically if the frame rate and graphics were pumped up, do you
figure the game would be more enjoyable or give a better sense of speed.

  That seems sort of odd since NFS2 is a Win95 game. It uses DirectX 3.0.
They could come out with a version that uses the Direct3D (I don't believe
it uses that part currently). In that case, it would be accelerated with
any card that supports Direct3D.

  I don't see why, or even how, a Win95 program would only support one
particular card.

It can, they can write directly to the API of a card. It is done for
two reasons: 1) speed, and 2) The DirectX D3D api is somewhat
difficult to program from what I've been told.

To answer the original question it would help the frame rate problems,
but personally I would still give this game a miss. It's not going to
fix the gameplay problems/ommisions. There are plenty of superior
products in both the simulation and aracde categories.
