G25 pedals vs. TSW2

by Uwe Schürkam » Sat, 29 Dec 2007 19:19:03

Hi folks,

I've been thinking about replacing my momo dfp wheel with a new and
shiny g25 now that the latter have come down in price somewhat (I've
seen them on the web for around 188 Euros).

As I'm still using my trusty old USB-converted TSW2 pedals with
the dfp as a separate controller, I was wondering how the g25 pedals
compare to the TSW product. Has anybody used both and give an
honest opinion here? I like the added clutch pedal as my tsw's only
feature throttle and brake, but how about durability and so on?

The TSW's are virtually indestructible as they're only metal and
wood, while the g25 pedals seem to have their fair share of plasticky
looking parts.

For the record, my tsw pedals look a lot like those:

Thanks in advance for your comments & looking forward to hearing from
you,

 Hi Uwe,

I have owned a BRD combo and ECCI wheel and pedals. Now using G25
setup and I am very happy with it. Pedals are very sturdy and the
force feedback is excellent.  Steve P

I've had BSW wheel and pedals here for ages, and have only recently gone
to a new G25 wheel and pedal set-up. Don't be fooled by the plastic, the
G25 is very well made and very sturdy, it has good FF and will last you a
long time, so is well worth the money.

you will like it very much, Uwe use the same "windows" setup/configuration
everyone was using for the MOMO's  (IE centering spring ON, but set to 0 etc
etc etc...)  I set mine to only turn 300 degrees (for quicker turning).

Under the plastic the G25, particularly the pedals, are one of the best
designs ever.  Especially for the price.

The wheel is also very good.

The shifter?  Not so much.  The shiftter is WAY out of character with the
rest of the kit.
