Yes the demo takes a fast machine to run, but I don't think the finished
version will be as demanding.  Based on my experiences with Rendition ICR2,
adding a Verite video card (like Intergraph's Reactor) to your system
should give you good performance with Nascar2 (which will be Rendition
Ready).  On my P120, this version of ICR2 rarely dips below 30fps.  Granted
Nascar is a little more complicated (more cars and car has more polygons),
but with a tweaked engine I don't see why performance would be any
different.

    Got one....frame rate sucks....It's not enough to say get a
pentium these days. It's more like "Get a Pentium Pro, or at least a
P-166, kid"....
