What kind of system do you have? (CPU speed).
If you don't have a PII or a P-Pro, then you will notice the dreaded
chopiness at the start of the race with a Voodoo1 card. A Voodoo2
card will eliminate this problem.

I don't have the details with me, it's likely in a previous post on the
newsgroup. It's a setting in the Win95 system.ini file. I believe it's
been posted that the settings should vary depending on how much memory
your system has.

The Pure 3D was one of the best additions I've ever made to my system...233MMX,
64 Ram, Matrox Millinum 2- 4mg board. I've had F1RS for about 3 weeks now and
couldn't be happier. The Canopus even improved CPR, although not enough to make
me want to keep it on my HD.

[vcache]
minfilecache=2048
maxfilecache=6144

% Look in your system.ini file and you should see [vcache] with no
% entry's below it.
% I'm not sure what a good setting for 64MB is (same as mine) but at the
% moment mine is like...
% [vcache]
% minfilecache=2048
% maxfilecache=6144
Actually you want the min and max size to be the same. Having them the
same is more important if you are attempting to minimize the HD
thrashing.
The rule of thumb is 1024 for every 8 meg of memory. So for a 64 meg
system try 8192.
