F1C - Prototype C

I just downloaded the Prototype-C Mod for F1C (all three files, the
installer, the patch and the service pack).

Anything I should know before installing this ?

Is it worth it?

Does it do any damage to the main game install that renders it useless ?

Thanks :) -Larry

All the mods are independant of the original install, unless you make
a giant BOO BOO  F1c should not be affected in any way.  THe Prototype C
mod is a great piece of work.  Make sure you have the v1.5 patch.  This
adds some Mazda prototypes and fixes mirrors and spelling etc.   You
haven't raced till you've taken a Peugeot Evo thru the updated
Nordscheife!

I might also suggest the ETCC v1.15 mod for low powered fun.

Updated Nordscheife?????
Can you please point me in the right direction to find this?
I've got the original Beta "The Ring" track but that site isn't up anymore
apparently.

Thanks

I found the original installer, a 1.01 patch and a "Service Pack" patch.

There wasn't anything else listed...

The service pak was what i was talking about.  I probably muddled the
various mods together...sorry.. just today I've.Reloaded the ETCC mod and
Nordscleife...first lap out was heavy rain...oooh boy.
Then went to Riverside 1970 with the  TPTCC cars from Nr2k3.  MAN those
ESSES bite.  :) Plus putzing around with various cars and such...man..too
much free time today...gonna go see if the missus will still speak to me.

I dl'd the file from BH and can't figure out how to install it.
I also looked on simbin but couldn't find anything even resembling xzbita..
All simbin seems to have now is support and screen shots for the retail
version of GTR...
Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Timmy

Is there a full (old-time) version of Spa and Nurburgring for F1C ?

do a google search for xzibita and gtr  you should find his homepage
fairly easily.  Then dload and install the track into your f1c seasondata
\circuits folder.  It won't work cuz it's set up for Xzi's own conversion
of gtr 2k2.  But you can apply the v1.1 Kvako update from blackhole
motorsports just by unzippint it into the same nordschleife folder.  THEN
you can use the track conversion tool from ETCC to bring the whole
package into ETCC.  From there it's just a quick edit of the game.gdb
file to enable it for most other mods.

All the versions of Nordschleife that are for SCGT, F1 2kx, and F1c are
all based originally on the Papyrus 1967 version of the track from GPL.
The SCGT version and the RAcer version have a more modern layout.  The one
from XzibitA is one that SIMBIN was working on, again from the GPL base, to
release with one of their mods.  THe project was shelved when SimBin went
commercial.  However...sometime shortly thereafter, the track appeared on
XzibitA's site.

Yes, look for one called 'nordscheilfe' vs one called 'thering'
etcc has the better version...it would just take a quit edit to the track
gdb file and a copy of the track in the proper circuits folder to enable it
for Group C.(I think!)
