To all you long-suffering bandwidth misers:

I had stated in several posts, both public and private, that the latest
issue (Summer '97) of Sierra's magazine "Interaction" made not a single
mention of the company it not-so-recently acquired, Papyrus. Michael
Carver pointed out to me that I was quite wrong, and he's right: there
are, at the very least, six (6) inclusions of the word "Papyrus" in the
magazine.

I apologize to the group for using an unsubstantiated statement in
support of my opinion that Sierra would eventually absorb Papyrus to the
extent that the Papyrus name would become a mere memory. I screwed up --
I didn't check my facts thoroughly and only read Interaction cursorily,
although I thought at the time that I had checked it out pretty
thoroughly. Obviously not.

Barton is right. Papyrus is barely mentioned at all. In fact, Papy's web
page is no longer available(www.sierra.com/papyrus).

However, as Michael just reminded me, there is not a single mention (I'm
RILLY sure this time!) of Papyrus in any of the several NASCAR Racing 2
ads in Sierra's propomag.

And you like Fords -- Phillip, you're my kinda guy. Well, not in *that*
way, OK?

Bart,

Even though your viewpoints concerning Papyrus differ from mine, I can
always respect someone who'll swallow their pride in the face of truth.
I hope future Papyrus projects are more pleasing to your appetite for
speed.

Could be that mind's opening up a bit... :)

God Bless,
Steve
