Hi all,

errr, sorry for appearing ignorant and all, but could someone tell me what
RASCAR is anyway. I've seen it mentioned in this newsgroup quite a lot in
the titles but never payed it much attention. I assumed it was something to
do with Nascar racing games (which I have never played) and so ignored them.

Just mild curiosity as to what is causing this level of interest and
uptightedness.

    When Nascar 4 came out..or it may have been 2002, there was some
interest by many of the road racers here.  However they didn't have much
experience in Nascar and wanted to get some learning in without being
attacked by the Wreckers that populated the open servers...one thing led to
another and a loose group was formed that ran races each week, eventually
mimicking the Winston Cup schedule.
