After being WAY too frustrated with the 'Ring, I moved on to another lesson in
frustration last night. I chose Mosport (no real reason I chose it, just sort
of 'happened'), and found out that I really enjoy the track. It's relatively
short (compared to Spa and the 'Ring, in particular), easy to learn, and
challenging to master. In many regards, it reminds me a bit of Mid-Ohio --
elevation changes, blind turns, etc.
Unfortunately, I can turn no better than a 1:28.xx after about 50 laps, and was
wondering if anyone else had trouble finding extra speed at this venue. With
all of the elevation change, I opted for a softer spring setup in order to gain
a little more controllablity. I also shortened the gear ratios from the
defaults to get a little better pull out of the corners. I'm wondering if I'm
heading the wrong way with this, and as someone with little GPL setup
knowledge, am open to any suggestions from the more experienced racers out
there.
Thanks!
