Empire has cancelled WSC...in favor of bringing out a new "game version"
using the WSC code from Chris and Tony West. The new "game" will be called
"Starsky and Hutch World Racing"....and will feature loop-de-loops, flaming
rings and "the most realistic car physics in the history of arcade ***!"
Wow...this sound great...can't wait. The only bad thing will be that no
***pit view will be available...but who uses that anyway?
I can't believe you've missed this news!

Empire and Vivendi Universal Announce Deal
UK developer and publisher Empire Interactive and Vivendi Universal
Publishing announced today a key distribution deal to launch six new
franchises on PC and next-generation console platforms. The North American
deal includes fif*** SKUs scheduled to debut beginning Fall 2001. Under the
terms of the contract, VU Publishing has acquired the rights to distribute
six of Empire's upcoming titles, Victorious Boxers, End Game, Antz Racing,
Starsky & Hutch, Ghostmaster, and World Sports Cars in the US and Canada.
Empire plans to publish the titles for multiple next-generation platforms
and PC.
Empire, which already enjoys successful operations in the US, looks to this
partnership as the impetus it needs to become a major force in the global
games market, fulfilling its promises delivered at the time of its AIM
flotation, last July.
