: Ron - I'm glad to hear your joystick problems were solved by the patch.
: I also noticed a couple of other people who have said they have new
: problems with joystick calibration after installing the patch. If anyone
: else is in that boat, please send me email and describe in as much detail
: as you can what you're seeing, and I'll try to track the problems down.

Okay, I don't have Win95(b), but I have an interesting experience to
share. System:
Pentium 166
Thrustmaster T1 (original run "limited ed.")
Thrustmaster ACM controllor card
Intergraph Rendition video card
First, I cannot get NASCAR2 to recognize my pedals in Win95 if I use
the Thrustmaster "adaptor" (rewires Axis2 to Axis1). However, I can
use my Wheel/Pedals if I don't use the adaptor (pedals on axis2)!
Here is the how I went about making it work (may work without the ACM):
Following done with the Thrustmaster T1 adaptor installed:
1) System Properties -> Device Manager -> Thrustmaster ACM Game Card
(or Gameport Joystick)
-> Drivers
c:\windows\system\msjstick.drv (version 4.0.950)
c:\windows\system\vjoyd.vxd (version 4.00.950)
2) Control Panel -> Joystick Properties
-> Current Joystick = Joystick 1
-> Joystick Configuration = 2-axis, 4-button joystick
(I didn't bother with the "is race car controller")
3) Calibrate and test
4) Remove Thrustmaster T1 adaptor
5) Start Nascar2 (tested both Rendition and Non-Rendition)
6) Select Axis-1 for steering & Axis-2 to for Accelerator and Brake
7) Calibrate both Axis-1 & Axis-2
8) Head out to the track and race!
I know, this doesn't seem like it should work. But, this is the only
way I can get my T1 to work in N2 under Win95(a).
Note: I also have a ProAudio Spectrum soundcard which does not have a
jumper for disabling the gameport. However, there is an option in the
Win95 properties under the Sound Card settings to "uncheck" the enable
gameport device (which I have done). I then "uncheck" the "Original
configuration (Current)" box for the Gameport Joystick Properties.
