paying for it......if you know where it can be found let me know.

UNIX is a network operating system.  Although there are a few "flavors" out
there that will run on Intel-compatable machines, it is incompatable with
DOS/Windows software.

You would have to have the games in question ported to UNIX, and the software
companies aren't gonna re-write them in response to one request.

And that's a shame, because I would LOVE to have a UNIX that supports the
Windows API.  It would be sooo nice to run all that software on a STABLE
platform for a change.

LOL, do you think you don't have to own a copy of the game to play on-line?
That's not how it works...your copy of the game interacts with the other
persons' copy of the game.

It's a wonderful idea, but it just ain't gonna happen.  Trust me, I'm a UNIX
network administrator, I know.

 William,
Ah, you must know that _real_ operating systems don't need no stinking
mouses!
In all seriousness, I do work with UNIX everyday and the people you want to talk
to are the good folks at Santa Cruz Operations. They will sell you a copy of
UNIX OpenServer for the unbelievable low cost of thirty bucks. The catch? You
have to use it for educational purposes and/or not for profit . Otherwise it
costs mucho dinero. I bought my full blown copy from them, and they are a leader
in the UNIX business. Check out their site and get ready for some work. UNIX is
not for the masses. X-windows will give you a Windows like interface, and yes,
you can use the mouse <ggg.> Check 'em out at http://www.sco.com
    All the best, Mike
