LFS: interesting little discovery

For some reason Live For Speed won't recognize the bottom
two buttons on my old LWFF.  I have the top two mapped
to "look left" and "look right," as usual.

I wanted to make one of the bottom buttons "look behind."
But since the game doesn't recognize these, I couldn't.
But I discovered that if you press both "look left" and
"look right" at the same time, you get "look behind."

Perhaps this is common in lots of games, but I never
came across it before.

Now the only function I am missing from the wheel
is the horn :-) :-)

I had the same problem, and I don't seem to
get any force effects either - but I'm working
on that one.  Despite minor niggles, this "beta"
is better than many full releases I have seen
and these guys strike me as being completely on
top of what they need to finish before release.

The LWFF remains the best bit of racing hardware
I have ever bought.  I got the original model
about a week after it was released and it still
works perfectly to this day.  I cleaned the pot
maybe twice in 5 years and still get perfect
accurate control.  (my driving OTOH...)

I get the feeling LFS is in the same league.

I love the Look Left + Look Right = Look back feature!!

On my Ferrari FF wheel, I'm using the shifter for gears, and I'm using the
shifting paddles behind the wheel for the look left/right/behind function!
awesome..

I used the Logitiech Wingman Profiler to map the buttons to the keys, and
then I got the mapping I wanted and all buttons function.

I just press "B" button on the keyboard to use the horn while driving with
my wheel!

I tried mapping only the B Key (Horn) using the Wingman Profiler, since
everything else seems to work OK without it.  But, I still can't get the horn
to work (other than by using the keyboard).  What version of the Profiler are
you using?  and what OS?

Thanks!
