Yes their have been many protection schemes. Hardware dongles, a word on a
specific page in the manual, spinning secure wheels, etc, etc, etc. This my
friend has always been my point for Starforce. With very few exceptions
(pirates notwithstanding) SF works quickly and easily and the only
requirement is the original cd/dvd. Barely noticeable let alone intrusive.
Of all the broken DVD drives Id bet a HUGE percentage (99%+) were caused by
the user/pirate trying to defeat the copy protection not the actual copy
protection scheme, despite the whining, crying, screaming, ***ing and
moaning so prevalent today.
Whats going to happen now is unknown but Ill hazard a guess that copy
protection will become more intrusive than SF, not less. What will all the
anti SF activist crowd say then? Will they apologize for making the
situation worse? Ill bet they will start yet another moonbat based activist
crusade of smear and lies based on nothing other than fear and insecurity
instead of fact and common sense.
The second you plug that RJ45/11 (nowadays GPRS/Edge etc) jack into your PC
youre fundamentally insecure, SF, MS-ring0, DblClck or not. Its comical
listening to the simpletons trying to convince themselves how insecure SF
and MS makes them all the while ignoring the true insecure realities of
computers and the internet v1.0 altogether. These are the same people that
wouldnt blink and eyelash d/ling then using one of the many tools CREATED BY
PIRATES to get around the copy protection. Does that make any sense at all?
